Privacy Policy

Overview
SYVR Studios LLC (“SYVR Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the SimSweep desktop application, the SimSweep Companion Mod for The Sims 4, the SimSweep browser extension, the CC Hub, and this website (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.
Who We Are
SYVR Studios LLC is a Colorado limited liability company. For the purposes of data protection law, SYVR Studios LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

Account Data
When you sign in via Google OAuth or Patreon OAuth, we receive and store:
- Your user ID from the authentication provider
- Your email address
- Your display name
- Your profile picture URL (if provided)
- Your subscription tier and status
- Account creation and last login timestamps
We do not receive or store your Google or Patreon password.
Subscription & Payment Data
Scan & Catalog Data
SimSweep scans your local Sims 4 Mods folder and extracts metadata from .package files. All scanning happens on your computer. If you use CC Hub features, the following metadata may be uploaded:
- SHA256 file hashes
- File names and sizes
- Resource keys and type identifiers
- Extracted thumbnail images
- Mod category classifications
- Conflict and compatibility markers
We never upload your actual .package files. Only metadata and hashes are transmitted.
Source Linking Data
If you use the browser extension or in-app browser, we may collect download URLs, page titles and metadata from supported CC sites, download timestamps, and associations between URLs and file hashes. This data links CC files to their original sources.
Companion Mod Data
If you install the optional SimSweep Companion Mod, it streams game state data to the SimSweep desktop app over a local TCP connection on your computer. This data includes:
- Game state: Current game mode, household name, lot name, and sim names
- Health snapshots: Exception counts, conflict counts, sim debt, and reset counts
- Performance metrics: Object count, sim count, and simulator debt
- CAS outfit data: Outfit slot part IDs, CC filenames, and outfit diffs
- CC health tracking: Per-object incident counts and auto-highlight status
- Broken CC & conflict detection: Runtime detection results with resource key attribution
- Interaction failure data: Failed interaction names, failure types, and sim names
- Session data: Play duration, exception counts by mod, and conflict/flag counts
- CC usage journal: Which CC parts you wear and for how long, CAS try-on behavior, lot object presence
Most of this data stays on your computer. It is stored locally and displayed on your SimSweep dashboard.
Some data is automatically uploaded to our community database when your game session ends: broken CC reports, runtime conflict reports, and script mod exception attribution. These reports contain mod metadata only — no personal information, sim names, or gameplay details are included. This data contributes to community health scores on CC Hub items.
The Companion Mod is entirely optional. SimSweep functions fully without it.
Diagnostic & Crash Data
If you submit a bug report, the diagnostic snapshot may include system specs, a listing of files in your Mods folder (names only, not contents), scan summaries, and application logs. Diagnostic snapshots are submitted voluntarily.
SimSweep also monitors for Sims 4 crash logs to help diagnose mod conflicts. This includes crash log contents (Sims 4 logs only), timestamps, and associations between crashes and active mods.
Usage Analytics
We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to improve the Service: feature usage counts, scan statistics, app version and platform, and session duration. Analytics are designed to be non-identifying.
Browser Extension
The SimSweep CC Source Tracker extension monitors your downloads to capture information about Sims 4 custom content files:
- Download filenames for .package, .ts4script, .zip, .rar, and .7z files
- Download URLs (direct link and CDN URL)
- Active tab URL at the moment a download starts
- File size of the downloaded file
This data is sent to the SimSweep desktop app running on your own computer via localhost. It does not leave your machine through the extension. The extension does not track your general browsing history and does not use any remote code.

CC Hub Community Data
Scan metadata you contribute to the CC Hub (file hashes, resource keys, thumbnails, source links) is shared with other SimSweep users as part of the community catalog.
If you use the Companion Mod, broken CC reports, runtime conflict data, and exception attribution are also contributed automatically. These reports contain mod metadata only and do not include personal information.
Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while active, 30 days after deletion for recovery.
- Payment data: Transaction records retained for 7 years (tax/accounting).
- Scan & catalog data: Retained while active. On deletion, personal association removed but anonymized metadata may remain in the CC Hub.
- Companion Mod data: Session history and CC usage journals stored locally on your device. Community reports retained on our servers while your account is active.
- Diagnostic data: Retained up to 90 days after resolution.
- Usage analytics: Retained in aggregated, non-identifying form indefinitely.
- Local data: Stored on your device and managed by you. Uninstalling SimSweep does not automatically delete local data.
